Dottie was born on October 22, 1949 in Navasota, Texas to Walter and Margaret Wisnoski Borski. She grew up in Anderson, Texas before moving off to attend the University of Houston, where she graduated with a major in Political Science. After college, Dottie moved to Bryan and on July 1, 1972, she married Luke Rizzo, sharing 38 years of marriage.
In the early 1970’s, Dottie began teaching junior high math for the Bryan ISD, and later transferred to College Station ISD, where she taught until she retired. She also taught part time at Blinn College in Bryan. She was a very dedicated teacher. Dottie was also a dedicated member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She was a very loyal friend to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She enjoyed being outdoors and working on the farm and she also enjoyed singing and playing the piano.
Dottie will always be remembered for the love she had for her family, especially the love for her grandson. She had strong old fashioned values and will power like no other. She held on to both of them with dignity.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret Wisnoski Borski, her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia Ann “Tootie” and Milton “Pete” Schaefer, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and her in-laws, Sam and Rosie Rizzo.
Dottie is survived by her husband, Luke Rizzo; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret (Rizzo) and Chris Morgan of Franklin; a step daughter and son-in-law, Melissa (Rizzo) and Russell Miller of Houston; her grandson, Lucas Rizzo of Franklin; her step grandchildren, Brett and Kristen Miller of Houston, James Morgan of Huntsville, and Lane Morgan of Franklin.
