Eliseo V. De La Garza, 72, of Bryan, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at St. Joseph Rehab in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 9 at Ebenezer Ministerio de Restauracion. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Eliseo was born November 20, 1939 in Kingsville to Ruperto and Theresa De La Garza. He was a well known man who never met a stranger. A legionary, minister for 41 years, and was known as a man with great testimony.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; and 1 sister.
Survivors include his wife Elva De La Garza of Bryan; sons Eliseo Rogelio De La Garza of Bryan, Mark Julian Villareal of Bryan; his daughters; 3 brothers and 3 sisters; he is also survived by numerous spiritual children.
