Frank Larry Schlett, 68, of Bryan, passed away May 9, 2012 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 at the funeral home.
Frank was born October 27, 1943 in Detroit, MI to Frank William Schlett and Louis Rheaba Ursum. Frank was an avid golfer, hunter, and outdoorsman. Frank was an amazing son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending time working in his shop but above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Louis Rheaba Ursum; brother Roger Jay Schlett.
Survivors include his wife Andrea Schlett of Bryan; son Frank Stephen and wife Susan Schlett; daughter Melanie Louise Schlett of College Station; grandchildren Stephen A. Schlett and Skylar A. Schlett of College Station; nieces Susan Mims and Melissa Ford of College Station of College Station; father & step-mother Frank and Gloria Schlett of Port Huron, MI.
