Frederick George Wessell

Frederick George Wessell, 67, of Bryan, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Visitation will be from 4 to7 p.m. Friday, September 24 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with a rosary service at 5. Funeral services are set for12:30 p.m.Saturday, September 25, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bryan. Officiating will be Reverend Monsignor John McCaffrey. Interment will follow at New Church Cemetery in Edge.

Frederick was born August 2, 1943 in New York City, New York to Benjamin and Marian Wessell. He was a longtime member of the B.G.A. and was co-founder of Brazos Wholesale Inc. since 1981.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Arthur, Raymond, and Ricky Wessell.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years Clydia Wessell of Bryan; sisters Margaret Smith of Bryan, Mary Edwards of La Porte, Judy Kocurek of Sealy; brothers Thomas Wessell of Baytown, Gerard Wessell of Houston; son Ted and wife Marilyn Wessell; grandchildren Jeremy Wessell of Austin, Haley Wessell of Junction City, Kansas, Michael Wessell of Bryan, Jason Wessell of Bryan, and Amanda Wessell of Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
