

A visitation is scheduled for Thursday May 30th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan Texas. Burial to follow at Bryan City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Thomas Coleman, D'wayne Saxon, Shane Howell, Mathew Dauer and Arturo Maya.
Glenda was born on June 21, 1943, in Bryan Texas to Clyde C. and Annie Mae Brown, Annie Mae passed away twelve hours after giving birth to Glenda, and therefore her stepmother Lillian Brown raised her, although Glenda never referred to her as her stepmother, she was her “mother” it is with grateful hearts knowing that Glenda will be in heaven with both of her mothers.
Glenda grew up in Wellborn and attended Wellborn Baptist Church as a child and went to A&M Consolidated High School. She married Jerry Goodman in 1960 and to that union three children were born, Troy, Sharon and Larry. Glenda was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Glenda loved traveling, playing 42 and making Christmas special for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hosting a Kentucky Derby Party every year was one of her favorite times, and even went to Churchill Downs in 2013 for the Derby. Some will remember her for her Banana pudding, others for her ability to make something out of nothing and still others for her kindness and always lending a helping hand to just about everybody she knew, especially for her friends at the Villa’s.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Annie Mae Brown, Clyde C. and Lillian Brown, Brother Kenneth Coleman, Sister-n-law Ruth Coleman, and great nephew Triton Howell.
Survivors include son Troy Goodman, of Justin, son and daughter-in-law Larry and Lisa Goodman of Brenham, and daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Randy Gaddy of Brenham, Grandchildren Christina Ramirez of Bryan, Amanda Watson, Brandy and Mathew Dauer of Frankston, and Breana Goodman of College Station. She also leaves behind eight Great Grandchildren, Cloie Rich, Caleb Santano, Jace and Jaxton Ramirez, Kennedy Gaddy, Stetsen Dockery, Ella Lockett and Joel Lockett.
