A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, March 16, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan. Reverend Rakshaganathan Selvaraj of St. Anthony's Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 15 from 5 – 7 pm with a rosary & vigil service beginning at 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Joe was born July 21, 1941 in Bryan the son of Henry and Katie (Fazzino) Gilmore. He worked for Court Saddlery, and was a leather craftsman. He made saddles for several celebrities including George Strait. Joe also enjoyed woodworking and made several home furnishing pieces. He was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Katherine Gomez.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Gilmore; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
