

Jose Amadeo Leal-Rosas, 64, of Bryan, passed away, May 25, 2014 at the Central Texas Veteran’s Health Care System in Temple. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 30th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Patrick Ebner as Celebrant.
Jose was born November 4, 1949 in Camargo, Mexico, the son of Wilfredo and Eduviges (Rosas) Leal. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1971. Jose was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed playing poker.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his step father, Eduviges and Joaquin Rueda, Sr.; and a sister, Hilda Lopez.
Survivors include his father, Wilfredo Leal of El Centro, CA; brothers, Ruben Rueda & his wife Mary Jane of Bryan, Freddie Rueda & his wife Diana of Bryan, Joaquin Rueda, Jr. of Minnesota, Johnny Rueda of Big Spring, TX, Eduardo Leal, Samuel Leal and Augustin Leal, all of California; sisters, Elizabeth Rueda & her husband Pablo Garcia of Bryan, Margaret Rueda & her husband Marcos Posada of Bryan, Janie Rivera & her husband Jose of Dallas, Claudia Leal and Marivel Leal, both of California; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
