

Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday February 26, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
Josephine was a lady of great faith who always had a smile and never met a stranger. She was born on Feb. 7, 1928 in Bryan, attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, graduated from SFA in Bryan in 1945, attended McKenzie Baldwin Business School, and married the love of her life, Clarence Fojtik, in 1947. They were married for 42 years. She was a loving mother and homemaker for years and was employed by Texas A&M's Athletic Department from 1982 – 1994. She loved her Aggie football! Everyone looked to her as a counselor/mentor. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church which she loved. Some of her involvements were: The Rosary Society, the Alter Society, the Women's Guild, KJZT Society, the funeral meal committee, Age Managers, and was seen almost daily in the Adoration Prayer Chapel until her stroke in Jan. 2010. As a Eucharist Minister she delivered Communion at St. Joseph's hospital for many years. She loved Jesus, her family and friends and was a powerful prayer warrior for anyone who asked.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, a sister, Anna Mae Domink, two brothers, Frank and Johnny Boriskie.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters, Monica Wakefield and husband Steve of Houston, Melanie Mattil and husband Chrisof Bryan, Denise Koranek and husband Tom of Grapevine, Dorothy Fojtik of San Antonio; son, Frank J. Fojtik of Bryan; five grandchildren, Clarise Morris and husband Bud of McKinney, Chase Dawkins of Austin, Clayton Wakefield and his wife, Leslie of Katy, Chris Koranek of Houston, and Leah McNulty and her husband Collin of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Sue Maly of Bryan; a sister-in-law, Delores Hall of Tucker, GA; and a brother-in-law, Ted Meiller of Bryan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the following: St. Joseph's Church, St. Joseph's School Trust Fund, Hospice Brazos Valley, or the Coalition for Life in Bryan.
