Josephine Hernandez Saenz

Josephine was born to Vicente and Sixta Hernandez on July 24, 1945, in Wheelock, Texas. She was the youngest of eleven brothers and sisters.

Josephine was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a nurse and caregiver to patients and family for over thirty years and took pride and honor in caring for all. In her spare time, she loved working outside in her garden, collecting and researching jewelry and gemstones, and keeping up with the latest in sports. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.

Josephine joins her parents, Vicente and Sixta; brothers, Pablo Hernandez, Moses Hernandez, Eliazar Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez; and sisters, Sarah Hernandez, Esther Garcia, Lorenza Vasquez, and Juana Hidrogo in Heaven.

She leaves behind to honor her memory her daughter, Michele Saenz Ramirez and husband, Edward Ramirez; granddaughter, Amanda Ramirez; sister, Lupe Ruiz; brother, Sam Hernandez; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., April 28, 2023 with funeral services following at 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Committal will follow at the Bryan City Cemetery.
