Joyce Alicia Lopez

Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday July 22 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Entombment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Joyce was born November 11, 1938 in Poiter, Nebraska the daughter of Seth and Wilma Dawn (Traner) Robertson. She attended the University of Texas El Paso. Joyce worked for Foley’s and Dillard’s for many years until her early retirement due to her health. She loved to paint and bake cinnamon pecans, she enjoyed being around her family, especially her grandchildren and was looking forward to seeing her first great-granddaughter, Berlynn Nicole Rubio who would be born in six months. Joyce was Lutheran faith.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Ardi Crouch.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Gabriel Lopez of Bryan; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Byford and husband Ken of Dallas; son, Kyle Morgan Dollar and wife Elizabeth of Houston; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Freda Robertson of Russellville, Ark., Frank and Juanita Robertson of Benton, Ark.; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Jimmy Smith of Clarksville, Ark.; grandchildren, Vincent and Veronica Rubio, Lauren Cheyenne, Anthony and Ryan Joseph Dollar, Jiovanna, Andrea and Jeremy Cirlos.
