

Julia L. Bonifazi, 86, entered into rest on August 11, 2011 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. The St. Anthony’s Altar Society will recite the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., with Deacon Andy Perrone officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 at St. Anthony‘s Catholic Church, with Rev. Patrick Ebner as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Julia was born October 21, 1924 in Brazos County, the daughter of Tony and Mary (Boatcallie) Lofaso. She married Tony Bonifazi and was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Altar Society and, Prayer and Worship at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Bonifazi was a nurse and practiced for 40 years. She enjoyed sewing and loved flowers.
Her husband, Tony and a son, Gerard Bonifazi, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Bonifazi of Houston and Marc Bonifazi of Round Rock; a sister, Josephine Brandstetter & her husband, Walter of Crockett; grandsons, Kevin, Tony and Jason Bonifazi; and two great granddaughters, Xcaret and Xelha Bonifazi.
