

June was born July 7, 1929 in Houston, Texas the daughter of Frances (Hansen) and Elwood H. “Red” Brown. She was married to William Andrew “Bill” Keepers, Sr. for 65 years until his death April 18, 2014. She was a loving wife and mother in addition to her career with Sears as a personnel manager. After Bill retired from the Shell Chemical Plant in Deer Park, they moved to Caldwell, where they lived for 33 years until moving to Waldenbrook Estates in Bryan 4 years ago. She was an auxiliary member of the VFW and American Legion in Caldwell, where she served as recorder for several years. Her greatest joy came when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her oldest son, William A. “Bill” Keepers, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Larry Keepers and his wife JoLynn of Seabrook, TX, Christine Carter and her husband Chuck of Pasadena; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Keepers of Katy; brother, Frank E. Brown of Kansas City, KS; two cousins, Sharon Ferry of Houston and Shirley Cronin of Austin; 9 grandchildren, Gary Ellison Jr, Greg Ellison, Nick Keepers, Jeremy Keepers, Matthew Keepers, Wesley Keepers, Elizabeth “Beth” Phariss, Robert Keepers, Trey Carter; and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat. A funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.

The family also appreciates Beth Grace, Micki Gutierrez and Peggy Schwarz and the team of compassionate caregivers from Traditions Healthcare for their expertise and gentle care given to our mom.
