

Linda was born in Houston, TX on Flag Day, June 14,1952 to LaVerne and Louis H. Chollett. She grew up in the Houston area, graduating from high school, before joining the Women’s Army Corps in 1971. She was honorably discharged and returned to Houston to start raising her beautiful family of five. Linda eventually relocated to College Station, TX, to work for the Bryan Police Department as an evidence clerk.
She was enjoying retirement reading and watching her favorite shows when she was stricken with cancer.
She is survived by her mother LaVerne Chollett and her brother LH Chollett, both of Somerville, TX. Her sons William Darling and Louis Darling, both of College Station, her son James Leatherwood of Pasadena, TX, and sons Andrew Leatherwood and Michael Leatherwood, both of Lake Jackson, TX will miss her greatly. She also had a niece, numerous nephews, and several grandchildren.
A memorial visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 South College Avenue in Bryan, Texas, 77801. Interment at Houston National Cemetery will be on a later date.
Many thanks to the palliative care team at Baylor Scott & White Hospital, the hospice team at Allumine Health, and the nursing team at Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation for making Linda’s last days as comfortable as possible.
