

The family welcomes you to a visitation on Thursday, December 22, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, recitation of holy rosary will be held at 1:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, a graveside service will immediately follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Mary Ann was born February 28, 1936 in Benchley, TX. She is the daughter of Refugio and Maria (Gomez) Rueda who will welcome her at the golden gates along with the love of her life, Victor (Hernandez) Garcia who also preceded her in death in 1982. Mary Ann had fond memories of working in the cotton fields in Mumford, TX, she was a hard worker, most times working 2-3 jobs at a time, to provide her family all the things she never had while growing up. She enjoyed cooking and anytime you visited her, you were sure to be offered a home cooked meal, a “cafesito” and good conversation.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her sisters, Juana Alvarado and Maria Hernandez; brothers, Cruz O’Bella, Daniel Rueda, Sr., Joaquin “James” Rueda, Toribio “Toby” Rueda, Sr., and Reynaldo “Ray” Rueda.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Almanza & husband Erasmo, Olga Sauseda & husband Ralph, Rose M. Garcia & husband David; her sons, Victor Garcia, Jr. & wife Melinda, Edward Garcia & Hilda Salazar, all of which reside in Bryan TX; her brother, Ezekial “Zeke” Rueda, Sr. & wife Irene of Navasota, TX; her grandchildren, Andres, Lucia, Rebecka, Martin, Ana-Rose, Rolando, Stephanie G., Michael, Yvonne, Stephanie, Christabel, Johnathan, Maryssa, Victor and Gabriel, along with several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her fur baby “Maggie” will miss her dearly.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandchildren, Andres Almanza, Martin Sauseda, Johnathan Garcia, Victor Garcia, Gabriel Garcia; great grandchildren Christopher Tello, Joey Puente, and Kayden McGrew.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Brazos Valley and their respective staffs.
