

Mary Okruhlik, 89, passed away Friday October 14, 2011 at Sherwood Health Care in Bryan. Visitation will be Sunday, October 16th from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, October 17, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan with Reverend Patrick Ebner officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan.
Mary was born December 7, 1921 to Ludwig and Anna Recek Siegel Pokluda at Sweet Home, Texas near Shiner. She married August Frank Okruhlik on October 11, 1952. In 1974 she and her husband moved to Bryan. She was a homemaker and has been a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church since 1974.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson Samuel Robinson.
She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Becky and Kenneth Robinson of Warrenton, Jo Risner of Bryan, Tina and Mike Stellbauer of Bryan, Ann and James Killough of San Angelo; eleven grandchildren, James Robinson, Riley Rector and wife Amy, Christine Bomnskie, Jordan Risner, Jered Risner, Daniel Krueger, Vincent Krueger, Nikolas Johnson, Amanda Sevy and husband Joey, Abby Turner and husband Josh, Angel Mann and husband Jeremy; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
