Mary Jane Timm

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 10 at Northview Baptist Church in Bryan with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at Martin’s Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Mary Jane was born December 8, 1936 in Bryan the daughter of Algie Caldwell and Ida Mae (Wehmeyer) Davis. She worked at the Sears store in Bryan for twenty-five plus years and retired in 1999. Mary Jane was a longtime member of Northview Baptist Church. She was very active in her church with a true servant’s heart. She and her sisters were the founding members of the Red Hat Society in Brazos County.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Kathy (Timm) Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Saffel of Waco; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Berry Godeaux of Bryan; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jan Timm of Keith; sisters, Virginia Wooten and Betty Nall both of Bryan; grandchildren, Jason Godeaux and wife Marsha, Candy Goulet and husband Will, Melissa Sleyko and husband Joe, Krista DeVries and husband Kenneth, Jessica Jones, John Godeaux, Jayme Timm and Dustin Timm; and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northview Baptist Church, Hospice Brazos Valley or the American Cancer Society.
