

Rececca Moreno, 84, formerly of Bryan, passed away Tuesday morning, April 19, 2016 at Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services in Houston, Texas surrounded by family. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 22, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan with Reverend Joseph Varickamackal officiating. Interment will follow in Bryan City Cemetery.
Rebecca was born January 10, 1932 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Maria Guerrero and Gaudalupe Sauceda where she was raised until she moved to Bryan where she lived and raised her family. She moved to Houston to be near her daughters and their families in 2007. She loved music and dancing. She was very giving and loving, and would do anything for anyone. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic Faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Armando Sauceda, Frank Sauceda, and Steve Moreno, as well as three brothers, Heriberto Sauceda, Saragosa Sauceda, and Gregoria Sauceda.
She is survived by two daughters, Yolanda Ramirez and husband Louis Jara of Houston, and Diane Asher and husband Michael Smallwood of Houston; two brothers Gilbert Sauceda and wife Marilyn of Houston, and Celestino Sauceda of Houston; one sister, Yolanda DeLuna of Alamosa, Colorado; five grandchildren, Eddie Sauceda, Stevie Sauceda, Zeke Sauceda, Brianna Lee, and Jordan Ramirez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services in Houston for the love and wonderful care they provided their mother.
