Ruby Mirth Steele Crane

scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Graveside service

will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rockdale, Texas.

Mrs. Crane was born December 14, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Robertsdale, Alabama. She

married James B. Crane in Robertsdale, AL on July 18, 1958. After Mr. Crane's retirement from the Navy,

the family moved from Florida to Texas in 1968. Then in 1973 they made their home in Bryan.

She worked for many years in sales jewelry and wedding/bridal consulting. She enjoyed helping people

and helping them to find that special item. She also loved cats. There was rarely a time she did not have

a cat or two.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Crane, parents Tucker and Evangeline (Eva) Steele,

sister Louise Williams, brother Stanley Steele and son, Jim T. Wilsey.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law Eva Marie Lancaster and husband Gregg of College

Station, TX, and Janet Wiley of Wenatchee, WA and daughter-in-law Marilyn Wilsey of Loxley, AL.

Grandchildren Vicki Jerrnigan and Jamie Wilsey. Also, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great -

grandchild. Brother and sister-in-law Louis Steele and wife Ruby of Hanahan, SC and sister Wilma Hall of

Alabama.

Thank you to the staff of Sherwood Health Center. Your many years of care and service have been

greatly appreciated.
