Born on August 4, 1947, to William and Loneda Bonds, Penny’s life was defined by a profound transformation when she gave her life to the Lord decades ago. From that moment on, she was a devout force of faith—a steady prayer warrior who found her strength in the Gospel. Though she navigated many difficult years, those trials only refined her incredible kindness. She remained a tireless nurturer, always offering a soft word and a helping hand to those in need.
A tremendous writer, Penny possessed a rare gift for the written word. She had a brilliant mind and a resilient spirit, capturing the beauty and complexity of life on paper. Her family will forever cherish the legacy of her words, which reflected a soul that remained hopeful and vibrant despite life’s hardships.
Penny is survived by her devoted daughter, Shannon; her sisters, Mary and Judy; and several extended family members and many friends within her church community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Loneda Bonds, and her brother, Bill Bonds.
"A writer’s life is never truly finished; it is simply gathered and kept. Penny spent her years writing a story of resilience, etching kindness into the hearts of everyone she nurtured. While the ink of this life has dried, her story continues—rewritten in the light of the Lord, where there is no more pain, no more hardship, and no more tears. The Author has called His daughter home, and the final word is not 'Goodbye,' but 'Peace.'"
