Beverly Jane Ochoa-Stolworthy, age 71, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Bullhead City, Arizona. Jane will be remembered for her big heart, her generosity, and the love she poured into everyone around her. She had a way of making people feel cared for—whether it was feeding you until you couldn’t eat another bite, sharing her famous tri-tip chili and homemade salsa, or offering a helping hand whenever needed. Her home was always filled with warmth, good food, and a welcoming spirit.
Jane spent most of her life in Orange County, California, before relocating to Bullhead City, Arizona, to be nearer to her daughter and enjoy the rest of her retirement. She built a meaningful career with the Anaheim Union High School District, retiring as a Benefits Coordinator. A devoted sun worshiper, Jane loved spending her days outdoors, tending her garden, and tinkering in the yard. Her brilliant blue eyes reflected the warmth and kindness that defined her spirit, and she always had a thousand questions, full of curiosity about the world around her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, from cooking and sharing meals with family to soaking in the sunshine.
Jane’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her mother, Zelma, like no other. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Ochoa; her sons, Anthony and Alexander Ochoa; her stepchildren, Carl Stolworthy, Lorainne Fuentes, Amie Gallegly and Melissa Settles; her grandsons, Cannon and Tucker Ochoa; and her beloved beagle, Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Stolworthy, and her parents, Zelma and Windel Gallegly. Jane was the ninth of ten children: Aubrey, Glen, Marie, Phyllis, Sue, Steven, Vivian, Wanda, and Wayne Gallegly.
A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at Tom’s Farms in Corona, California on her 72nd birthday, April 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor a remarkable woman who gave so much love to everyone around her.
“A mother’s love is heaven’s gift, and though she is gone from sight, it remains with us always.
