Donna was born February 23rd, 1934 in Monterey Park, California to Verda and Hugh Shive.
She was the youngest in their family of four children.
Her siblings, who preceded her in death were Loretta, Robert, and James Shive. She grew up in Brawley, California and graduated from Brawley High School in 1952. She married the love of her life, Charles W. Hotchkiss, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brawley in 1956 and together they raised their family of seven children in Riverside, California. Charlie Hotchkiss preceded her in death in 2019 after sixty-three years of marriage. She was a kind and loving mother and she will be greatly missed by her family and especially her children: Mark Hotchkiss of Apple Valley, CA, John Hotchkiss of Weatherford, TX, Mary Stock of Bullhead City, AZ, Daniel Hotchkiss of Big Bear, CA, David Hotchkiss of Silverhill, AL, Anne Luker of Anderson, CA, and James Hotchkiss of Waterloo, IL. Her legacy lives on with her sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
