Elmer W Whitford

Mr. Whitford was born July 25, 1930 in Riverside, California and was a fifty-nine year resident of Riverside before moving to Mohave Valley, twenty-two years ago.

Bill served in the United States Navy from 1947 to 1949. He was employed as a Coordinator at Hargus Disposal. In his leisure time, he enjoyed car racing, jeep-riding, playing poker, classic cars, and loved spending time with his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann “Peggy” Whitford.

He is survived by his brother, Glen (Nancy) Whitford of Overton, NV.; sister Thelma (Mike) Craghead of Tempe, AZ.; daughter, Cindy Huggins of Bartow, FL.; daughter, Cathy Lynn, of Fort Walton Beach, FL.; daughter Debbie (Buck) Sims of Bartow, FL.; son Bob(Debbie) Whitford of Moreno Valley, CA.; brother-in-law David (Betty) Hargus of Mohave Valley, AZ.; brother-in-law Tim Hargus, Savannah, GA.; twelve grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and 8 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00 o’clock p.m. at Dimond & Sons Silver Bell Chapel, 2620 Silver Creek Road, Bullhead City, AZ.
