Eugene Duane Bemis II

Gene was the kind of person you don’t forget. He had a way of making people laugh—sometimes with him, sometimes at his unforgettable shenanigans—always leaving those around him with a story to tell and a smile to carry forward. If you knew Gene, you knew his strong will… stubborn doesn’t even begin to describe his famous “I’m right” attitude. But behind that was a man who loved deeply and lived fully, leaving a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Gene is now at peace, welcomed into the arms of loved ones who went before him, especially his mother, Nancy.

He is survived by his fiancée, Melissa Cale; his stepchildren, James, Johnny, and Dodge; his furry best friend, King; his aunt, Patti Bates; his sister, Tina Torres; his brother-in-law, Mike Torres; his nephew, Lucas Scanlan; his niece, Payeton Torres; and many extended family members and friends who became family.

A celebration of life will be shared once arrangements are made.
