Announcement of Memorial Service
Bullhead City Emergency Services Dispatcher Kathy Wright passed away on July 13th at the age of 63 after a battle with cancer.
Ms. Wright began employment with the City and the Police Department in 1994. She worked for many years on a part-time basis and served as a full-time emergency services dispatcher for over 10 years.
911 Bureau Manager Sergeant Barry Wincentsen remembers Kathy Wright as a very reliable and very flexible worker who filled many “holes” in the 911 Center work schedule. Sgt. Wincentsen also remembers her as someone who could be especially compassionate with callers.
Emergency Services Dispatcher Denise Otero remembers Kathy as a fun person who always made her laugh.
Dispatcher Devon Harris described Kathy as an extremely hard worker who “picked up the slack” by helping other dispatchers on the police or fire channel during busy times. She fondly remembers her as someone who “kept us entertained.”
Services for Kathy will be held Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Chapel located at 1690 Newberry Drive in Bullhead City, AZ
