Continued- I remember trying on your clothes and our love for mocosins, I remember using your computer way too much, and I remember writing you emotional cards and letters and you always showed me that side to yourself, you were the strongest person I ever met. You learned from your life and you chose stability and your family above all. I remember you coming to my little apartment in Tucson and you helping me learn how to be a mom when I had post part depression and anxiety. I remember calling you about my my hate for the internet and new age stuff as an adult and wanting to write you more letters and calling you from my house phone when nobody else had that anymore. Im so sorry that I wasn't here the last year or two, and I'm sorry I never listened Everytime I left again on a new nomadic idea I had, I wish I spent more time with you. I don't really enjoy physical touch or affection but I was always glad to have a hug from you. You were just everything to me, honestly.... I wish I got to say goodbye. I love you. So much.

Grandma, 

I remember growing up with you, always a constant and steady rock in a world that was always so chaotic for me. 
I remember bringing a rock to you at as a toddler and saying please watch my dinosaur and you kept that rock on your shelf in the same place for 25 years. I remember you bandaging me up when I crashed on the bottom of D street. Countless times spending the night on the floor watching VHS Disney tapes, and playing with that basket of toys you still have in your place. I remember Everytime I had an accident, you never got mad at me, I remember taking baths in the center bathroom and you just taking care of me. I remember sitting on my mom's lap and stealing her coffee, while we looked over family photos. I remember I started my first period, and I didn't know I didn't have a choice in that, and you and Margaret talking to me about becoming a woman and your first stories outside in the backyard. I remember spaghetti dinners that only you could make the best of. I remember climbing that hill so many times, and having my first kiss there, at your place overlooking needles. I remember the first major fight I had with my mom, and I walked from fort mohave to needles and ditched school, and showed up at your place and you and Jesse comforting me and letting me stay the night. I remember taking out the trash and helping clean up and never ever once arguing with you, because you always knew best. I remember you brushing my hair, I remember the smell of your house, and the church bell and the silence and the stillness. I remember get togethers and game nights, watching game shows with you and drinking coffee and smoking cigerettes. The coffee at your place was always the best too. I remember leaving little notes around your house sometimes, I remember you teaching me how to sew on a button and talking with you while you did laundry. I remember crying with you about Buddy, and you always showed me yourself, I felt the safest with you. Always. Imissyou.

Aunt Jeanie I don’t even know where to begin.
So many memories. The fair comes to mind, spent all of my money as soon as we got to the dime pitch game. You and Uncle Bob didn’t know. I told you , you said don’t tell my mom or Uncle Bob and you  gave me more money. I still have the glass bowl I was trying to win! I thought how cool you were!  
Also the time Jesse and I got in trouble when we were in Utah. You and my mom were upset well mad because we came home too late! lol!
Clearly we’re old enough to stay out😊
What I will miss most is our phone calls to each other. We would talk so long. I will miss me popping in at your house having coffee together.
We would talk about anything and everything!
Thank you for all your help with documents and sending me stuff I needed. 
I will keep you in my heart ❤️. You were my favorite and  also my friend. So lucky to have had a cool aunt like you.

Grandma it's Easter eve and I'll always remember the magic of the "shrink a dinks" ... Beautiful memories of a wonderful woman. The cutest firecracker, with a butterfly heart. She will always remain a loving part of my childhood memories. The way she loved her family, the way she sang "One day my Prince will come", the way she handled mine and Maria's silly antics ... simply the sweet soul she was, are the precious memories that I hold. My prayers for peace and strength are going up for my Best Friend, Maria and Family.

The first time I met Jeanie was in August 2015 when I walked into the Palo Verde College Needles Center as the new director. We clicked from that moment on, first as colleagues, and very soon after, as friends. Jeanie was the glue that held the Center together; she certainly was my rock. She guided me and supported me, not just professionally, but also personally, throughout the seven years we worked together.  Hers was the first voice people heard when they called, and the first face students, visitors, and community members saw when they walked in to the Center. She was the heart and soul of the institution.

On a personal level, we shared a love of the Dodgers, and an ideology that came from having been children of the 60s and the 70s. She supported me and helped me through a particularly difficult time; for that, I am eternally grateful. I only hope I was able to do the same for her when she needed it. 

I know for a fact that Jeanie postponed her retirement because I asked her; we were a team, and I needed her. She did not let me down. When I told her I was planning on retiring, she said that she was going to do the same, because she did not want to have to train another director/dean. I think she was only half kidding.

We are all richer for having known you, Jeanie. I will always love you, and miss you. Thank you for being my friend.
