To Johnny, I remember your mom as a very little girl when she visited Pennsylvania with Toni, and another time when she visited with her dad. I was married to your Grandfather Flora's sister, Patty. She visited so many years ago. The next time I saw your mom was when Toni graduated from Law School in Harrisburg, PA. I wish I could have been closer to your mom. Toni always kept Patty and me informed of your well-being. Toni always shared stories and pictures of you and your mother. It's always hard to accept the loss of someone. Your mom would want you to enjoy life. Sometimes that's not easy. It's alright to cry and miss your mom. To Nikki, Pat and I though of you and prayed for you often. It makes my heart feel good to read the comments from your friends. Nikki, you are at peace now. Look for Pat, Nikki; she's in Heaven now too.

Dear Sis,

I miss you. I still don't know what to say. It is still hard for me to believe that you are gone. I know you know right now that I miss you and I love you, despite the difficult times we had together as sisters.

I am really sorry that you were unable to be truly happy in life. I really hope that you showed your worst times only to me, because looking at all these pictures, you had such fun! You were so genuinely happy in these pictures. And I took a lot of these pictures, or were there with you when they were taken. You WERE happy. You did have some really great times in life. Going through all these pictures over and over really brought that to light.

Looking at these pictures shows you had an inner bright light. Your smile can light up a room and certainly brightened up the pictures. You can see that the smile comes from your heart. Your light and happiness shone through your eyes, in your smile, and even through your hair. You certainly had many moments where nothing could bring you down and you loved life. It was most apparent in your love your Johnny.

Talking to Johnny made you so happy. When you got to see him you were thrilled. He was truly your pride and joy. Just the thought of him made your worst days seem bearable when he came to mind.

I know right now that if there was anything I could have done to prevent you from leaving us so soon, I would have. We all know that this was not on purpose, that you did not want to leave us. You especially didn't want to leave Johnny. I am certain that you are now watching over him constantly.

I hope you are still shining bright, are at peace, and enjoying everything that comes after this life.

Sis, I love you. And I will always miss you. Even the tough moments.

Toni, we cannot imagine the heartache that comes from losing a sibling. We wish we could have been there with you through this incredibly difficult time. Although we did not know Nikki, we know how much she means to you. You are always in our thoughts and prayers and we are always here for you.

Nicole sure knew how to brighten up a room with her warm smile, inviting eyes, and wonderful laugh. I had the pleasure of knowing her for a few years through my work, and always tried to watch over her. To be honest, anyone who knew her had to have been smitten with her in some fashion. She was just an amazing person and her spirit will continue to live on through her son and sister both of whom my thoughts and prayers are with. She will truly be missed.

Nikki was taken from us too soon.  I only knew her briefly, but I know she had the best of hearts.  She dealt with tragedies and heart aches that most of us would never know, and she overcame them better than anyone else could.  Toni knew her the best of course, and she helped her through life better than anyone could. I feel Nikki is at peace now largely because family like Toni, David and Johnny along with her friends always had the best of intentions for her. Rest in peace Nikki.  We all miss you.

Dear sweet Nikki...I will never forget your laugh.  One of my favorite memories was on Destiny's birthday we all celebrated at Chili's.  We had so much fun, and were so loud with lots of laughter, that I was surprised we were not kicked out.  Rest in peace Nikki...you will not be forgotten.

I am in shock and disbelief Nikki passed away.   I dated Nikki back when I was in high school.   My thoughts are with you Toni and the rest of your family.

Toni, I am not sure what I should say, exactly.  I did not know Nikki, but watching her suffering thru your eyes was really disheartening.  I am truly sorry for the loss of your little sister.  You have had so much loss in your life, and you now carry one more person in your heart.  I do pray for you regularly, for your heart to not be so heavy.  I am sure that you were the best sister for Nikki.  Do not doubt or second guess your actions, or your ability.  You are strong.  Johnny, my heart bleeds for you.  As a mom, I can say for certain that your mother loved you very much.  Toni, Johnny, I would love to tell you that time heals all wounds, but I feel that the cut is too deep right now.  My best advice and all I can really offer is, just take this one minute at a time.  One minute, one hour, one day.  I will continue to pray for peace for the both of you.  God bless.

Nikki - you were an amazing sweetheart. I loved hearing your story and listening to your heart. You had no idea how many people in your family wanted to get to know you. I knew Nikki when she was in elementary school.  She was a typical younger sibling... always trying to keep up with Toni and her friends. When Nikki set her mind to something, watch out!  She was very determined!  I will always remember not only her determination but her big smile.  Rest in peace Nikki. And, Johnny - keep close the happy memories you have of your Mom.  Those are what will keep her memory alive for you!

Nikki was a great person who was full of compassion with a heart covered in gold. Always willing to help someone else in need as she had done for many. Her loss was a tragic one, many will miss her. But she will never be forgotten as her spirit and memories will live on through her Sister and Son. We all will miss you!!

The things that everyone will always remember about Nikki are her laugh and how much she loved her son, her sister and all her friends.

You were always such a sweet and beautiful  girl, rest in peace.

I was so sad to hear the news but I am so grateful she had you Toni. From all you have spoken of you were an amazing sister to her.  I pray you have peace with it soon,  but it will take time and then more time.  Just know you are surrounded  by so many friends to lend you support.
