Teresa Louise Brown (Steele), 67, of Auburn Hills, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on March 7th, 2026. Born on November 25, 1958, in Pontiac, Michigan. Teresa, affectionately known to family and friends as Terri, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend to her husband, Greg. Terri was a kind, caring, and selfless person who always put others first. Terri will always be remembered for her empathetic nature and the deep love she had for her family. Her kindness and compassion touched everyone who knew her, and she made the world a kinder, better place.
Terri was an employee of a subsidiary of Eaton Corporation for 19 years until the company relocated overseas. She later attended Dorsey College, which led to a career in a high-volume medical doctor's office, where she remained until her retirement in 2017.
Terri had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling regardless of the mode of transportation, car, plane, or ship; her adventures would lead to islands, national parks, and about everywhere you can imagine. She enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the Lake Superior shoreline, where she could spend time at her waterfront vacation cottage. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, and casinos. She was always eager to participate in any new adventure and tackled each adventure with a smile on her face.
Terri is survived by her beloved husband Gregory of nearly 38 years, while being part of each other's lives for 42 years. Other family members of her blended family include sons Jason (Pamela) Hobbs of Glendale, Arizona; Gregory (Melissa) Brown of Llano, Texas; Mathew (Amy) Brown of Shelby Township, Michigan; and Lee Brown of Austin, Texas, with one daughter, Valerie (Lou Evola), of Macomb Township, Michigan. Terri is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who were very precious to her and a sister, Sharon (the late Al) Robbins of Waterford, Michigan. Proceeding her in death are her parents John and Anna Steele and siblings Carol, Patty, Bobby, and Charles.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date so we may all share stories and fond memories and, most importantly, celebrate the beautiful life of Terri.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in loving memory of Terri.
