Timothy LaForest, age 69, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023. He was born on July 6, 1953 to Paul and Mable (Jackson) LaForest in Ishpeming, MI. Tim married Betty on June 20,, 1992. They experienced many life changes together including a move from Michigan to the Riverview RV Resort in Bullhead City, AZ where they made wonderful friendships. They found each other years ago at a dance and continued to enjoy dancing throughout their marriage. Music was as much a part of Tim as his breathing. He began by playing drums with the Blue Note Drum and Bugle Corp in high school. He eventually taught himself to play guitar and in later years he learned to play the piano. He played in several bands, churches and nursing homes over the years and continued to play with a group at Riverview after his move to Arizona. He loved camping, fishing and deer camp in Michigan’s upper peninsula. He made friends everywhere he went and will be missed by many. He had a strong faith in God and is surely now at His side with those loved ones who have passed before him.
Tim loved to tease everyone and the world will be a sadder place without his wonderful sense of humor and ability to make everyone feel included and special. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty LaForest; 2 children, Bernie LaForest and Carol Hooper; 2 step children, John Arnson and Christine Arnson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 5 brothers, Roger (Susan) LaForest, Terry (Sue) LaForest, Doug (Linda) LaForest, Gary (Lynne) LaForest and David LaForest; 2 sisters, Char Ingersoll and Sharon Kling; 2 sisters-in-law, Dora LaForest and Celeste LaForest. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Carol Kotel and Joanne Wright; his brothers, Paul LaForest and Larry LaForest; and his brothers-in-law Don Ingersoll and John Kling. Arrangements entrusted to Dimond and Sons, Bullhead City, Arizona .
