With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne J. Mozden, born 18 July 1942, who left us on 6 October 2025. Wayne was a son, brother, father, papa, and companion whose life was full of strength, deep love, humor, and steadfast loyalty.
Over the course of 83 years, Wayne built a life grounded in integrity, compassion, and perseverance. He worked hard, loved fiercely, and gave generously.
Of all the roles Wayne held, the proudest was that of a father and papa. He taught, coached, cheered, and shielded. He celebrated successes, big and small. He offered wisdom in uncertainties, and encouraged growth. He reveled in the laughter and countless moments between parent and child that became lifelong treasures.
Wayne was proud to be a son and brother. His family knew the depth of his loyalty, his humor, his sense of justice, and his unflinching support. Through shared memories – of childhood mischief, family vacations, holidays, and the inevitable trials of life – he and his brothers shaped one another’s lives in ways that will endure beyond his passing.
Wayne held hope in hard times, and strength in adversity. He left behind footprints in many lives: in his children, grandchildren, his brothers, and friends. His stories will be told again, his laughter echoed, his lessons passed. All who knew him will feel the gap in their lives, yes – but also carry forward his love, his example, and his memory.
He is survived by this beloved family who will cherish his memory and carry his lessons forward. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the lives he shaped and the love he gave so freely.
