He was born in the Bronx, New York and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was 9 years old. Mark overcame a challenging adolescence to become a successful, caring individual. He pursued his education at Laurel Elementary, Bancroft Jr. High, Fairfax High, Valley College and Cal State LA. He attended UCLA Law School and became an attorney.
Mark always felt that his true education came from outside the classroom. He found joy in the connections he made with others. He enjoyed belonging to the Chaparels while in High School, maintaining friendships with many club members through the years. He dabbled in acting. He was a proud member of the Kung Fu community, teaching and mentoring when possible. He cherished good times with friends, playing pool, listening to Oldies, playing poker, sharing stories and jokes. He and Cheryl enjoyed enriching their lives through travel.
Mark believed his true success came from the love and loyalty of his relationships. His sense of humor was legendary.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Cheryl and niece Lisa Evans.
A Celebration of Mark's life will be announced at a future time.
