Michael Patrick De Nick

Mike is predeceased by his siblings Tina MacKenzie, Frank De Nick, Angelo De Nick, and Rose Mehall.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Catherine De Nick, Son Michael, and daughter Teresa Myatt and her husband Keith Myatt.

Mike is lovingly remembered by four grandsons; Patrick Myatt and his wife Kelsey, Evan Myatt, Andrew Myatt and his fiancé Gloria Coronado, and John Myatt.

Mike was born in Tresco, Pennsylvania in 1926 and graduated from Hazelton High School. After high school he served in the Army Air Corp as a B24 gunner during WWII. His family moved to Burbank and he went on to earn a Bachelors of Science from the University of Southern California in June of 1953. He married Catherine May Thornton in September of 1953, literally the girl next door. They enjoyed socializing with friends and family, and have traveled to over 30 world destinations together. Mike became “Tata” upon the birth of his four grandsons. He enjoyed watching them grow up and spending time with his family.

The visitation will be held at the Valley Funeral Home, 2121 Burbank Blvd, Burbank, CA. on Sunday, June 7, from 2-5pm.

The graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills at 11:15 on Monday, June 8.

Following the service a reception will take place at the home of Keith and Trina Myatt, 824 N. Valley St. Burbank, CA. 91505.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Burbank Temporary Aid.
