Alessandro Gnocato

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Alessandro Gnocato who peacefully passed away on July 2, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Alessandro was born in Fossalunga, Treviso, Italy in 1933 and came to Canada in 1954. He eventually settled in Vancouver and married Armida in 1959. Alessandro worked as a respected construction foreman for most of his career. He will be fondly remembered as an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt & camp, his passion for gardening, and his ingenuity while tinkering in his workshop. He is predeceased by his father Giuseppe, mother Giulia, and daughter Elizabetta. He is survived by his loving family: wife Armida; children Joe (Cece), Betty (Chris); grandchildren Mattea, Alex, Mark, Julia, Christina; brothers & sisters, Maria (Domenico), Pasquale (Sofia), Anna (Marcello), Anselmo (Wanda) and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00am at St Helen's Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby, BC. Interment to follow at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com.
