It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Father, Armando Cuccione; a true Mentor and Leader throughout our lives. He passed away on February 25 at the age of 93, six weeks short of his 94th Birthday. He was surrounded by his family expressing their undivided appreciation and Love for him. A truly amazing man as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, father in-law & brother in-law, uncle and a genuine friend to many. He was predeceased by his loving parents Michele and Nazzarena, his in-laws Domenico & Rosa Mobilio, Grandchildren Robert Franzon and Michael Cuccione Jr, son in-law Enrico Franzon, nephew Domenic Mobilio Jr, brother Stefano, sisters Rosina, Teresa & Caterina, Brother & Sister in-law Domenico & Rosa Mobilio, Brother in-law Antonio Mobilio and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He is survived by his loving Wife of over 70 years Anna, children Michael Cuccione (Carla), Rena (Vince Carnovale), Rosa, Domenic Cuccione (Gloria), Steve Cuccione (Julie), Carmela (Craig Cappelletti); Grandchildren Anna & Armando (Cuccione), Maria (Nick Lapiccirella) Peter (Pamela), Armando (Carnovale), Antonio (Natalie), David, Sonya (Johnny Bevacqua) Sophia (Miro Maras) Steven, Kevin, Colin, Amanda and Christopher; Great Grandchildren Gianluca, Alessandro, Adriano, Talia, Vincenzo, Selena, Anthony, Christian, Nevaeh & Matteo; Also many other surviving relatives in Italy, Toronto and other parts of the world. Dad will be dearly missed by all who have been touched by him throughout his life and will always be remembered for his caring and giving spirit and determination. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Elsie and Angelie Rafael who cared for Dad for 18 months, Annie’s Place and their staff, all the staff at Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and Home Care Hospice Program. Dad will truly be missed and no words can express the kind of love he demonstrated throughout his life to all. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Michael Cuccione Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. Viewing will be Wednesday, March 4, at Bell Burnaby Funeral Home, 4276 Hastings Street, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Helen’s Parish, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby, BC on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 10:00 am. Christian burial and entombment Ocean View Cemetery (South Mausoleum).
