Armida Zanatta

It is with heavy hearts and much sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Nonna and Sister. Armida Zanatta was born on September 23, 1936 in San Fior, Treviso. She passed away peacefully in her beautiful home on May 24, 2021 in Burnaby, BC with her daughter Maria by her side. During these sudden and unexpected past few weeks, she was surrounded by the love and comfort of her entire family. Armida is predeceased by her parents Clorindo and Maria, her sister Eugenia (Giuseppe), and son-in-law James. Armida is survived by her husband Marcello of 61 years of marriage, her children Graziano (Susan), Maria, and Robert (Rayleen); her grandchildren Michael (Jennifer), Stephanie (John), Jeffrey (Tamlyn), Jennifer (Elliott), Sara, Makayla and Trevor; her sister Luigina (Severo); brother-in-laws; sister-in-laws; nephews; nieces; and many other family members and friends. The two most important things Armida lived for throughout her life was her family and her faith. She will be remembered as a very genuine, sincere, thoughtful, kind hearted, loving, caring, generous and faithful person who always had a beautiful smile on her face. A special thank you to Dr. Luigi Salvino and Fraser Health Authority’s Burnaby Community Care Palliative team for everything they have done in keeping Mom secured, comforted and well cared. In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Children’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Due to Covid, live streaming of the funeral will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00am.
