Aurelia Angela Arrotta

March 24 1938 – November 25 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved, Aurelia Arrotta. A loving wife, mother, nonna, sister, aunt and friend. Aurelia passed away peacefully Nov. 25 2025 at age 87.

Born March 24 1938 in Albi, Calabria, Italy, Aurelia was predeceased by her dear husband Salvatore, parents Giuseppe and Filomena Dardano, brother Salvatore, sister Theresa and brother-in-law Filippo Parrotta.

Aurelia is survived by her son Domenic ( Sharie ), daughter Maria, son Joe ( Rosana), grandchildren Madison, Austin ( Miranda ) and Ava. She is also survived by her sister Ortenzia Parrotta, brother Edmondo (Emilia) Dardano, sister-in-law Giuseppina Dardano and her many nephews and nieces, as well as all of her extended families and friends in both Canada and Italy.

Aurelia will always be dearly loved and remembered for her warm, caring and generous heart, as well as for Aurelia and Salvatore Arrotta’s strong commitment to raising their children and families while overcoming significant and extremely challenging circumstances. We are eternally and deeply grateful for Aurelia’s and Salvatore’s love, faith, strength, courage and loving family devotion.

Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers that recently looked after Aurelia’s needs with so much love, care and compassion.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 5th, 2025 at 3pm at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 6610 Balmoral Street Burnaby BC V5E 1J1. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
