Basilio Visona

He is predeceased by his father, Leone and mother, Angela, brothers Aldo, Albino and sisters Rina and Anna. He is survived by his loving wife, Ermenegilda (Gilda), to whom he was married for 62 years. He leaves behind his sons Roger (Antonietta), Mirko (Abby-Lee), daughter, Heidy (Kenneth) along with eight grandchildren, Tess (Daniel), Laura (Greg), Chloe, Sydney, Carr-Lee, Ry-Lee, Christina, Kate and great-granddaughter Amelia. He is also fondly remembered by his two younger sisters in Italy, Brigitta and Maria, including numerous nieces and nephews.

Basil was a social and generous man who enjoyed the company of all with whom he could debate the affairs of the world, but most of all he was most caring of his family and loved them deeply; we will miss our dad and nonno dearly.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church (2025 Napier St., Vancouver), followed by entombment at Ocean View Funeral Home (4000 Imperial St., Burnaby) at 11:30 AM.
