

Bing Lim travelled to Hong Kong for school in 1927, he spent 10 years in Hong Kong before returning to Victoria in 1937, at which time he worked at Spencer Castle as a gardener and helper.
In 1939, Bing Lim moved to Vancouver where he worked as a cook before becoming the owner of a local grocery store. After being drafted into World War 2 Bing Lim attended Vancouver Community College where he took classes to become a Watchmaker, and it was here he found his calling. Along with his brother Bing Ping, Bing Lim continued his work as a Watchmaker at Lee and Tangen Jewelers until his retirement in 1991.
On September 5th, 1959 Bing Lim married the love of his life Sue Lin, in Vancouver, B.C. The two shared 60 wonderful years together where they enjoyed gardening, and spending time with their three children.
Bing Lim was a generous man, and he graciously shared all of the things he grew in his garden with his family and friends. He was also proud of the his home renovation, repair and carpentry skills which he always offered to those he loved.
Bing Lim is pre deceased by his loving parents, Mother Toy Chan and Father You Lee, his oldest brother Bing Hui, Second eldest Brother Bing Ping, and his youngest sister Bing Syut.
Bing Lim is lovingly survived by his beautiful wife of 60 Years Sue Lin Lee, his two daughters Shirley of Vancouver and Sandra of Vancouver, son Roger of Vancouver, and his brother Bing Kong of Vancouver.
Bing Lim was a beloved husband and Father who will be greatly missed by those who had the opportunity to be a part of his life, and the Lee family appreciates your kind words and sympathies during this difficult time.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Monday September 30th, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.
