With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our father, Carmelo (Charlie) Albanese who passed away peacefully on February 6, 2019 at the age of 91. Born October 30, 1927 in Vancouver, BC. He was predeceased by his brother Nicodemo (Mary). Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Pasqualina (Lina); children Luisa (Guido), Rina; Teresa (John); grandsons Taylor and Brayden, he also leaves behind his brother, Sam (Serena) along with many nieces and nephews, both locally and abroad. Charlie was an amazing husband, father and will be missed forever by many friends and relatives. Rest in Peace Dad! Viewing will be offered at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St, Burnaby, on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2019 at St. Helen’s Parish, 3860 Triumph St., Burnaby. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Abbey Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the B.C. Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
