Cheri left us on December 15, 2024, at the age of 60, after a courageous 6-year battle with ALS. Surrounded by love and comfort, she passed away with her loving sons, Aric and Alex, by her side.
A devoted mother, Cheri is also remembered by her beloved dog, Dixie. She spent 30 years dedicated to her work at Fortis BC, and outside of work, she pursued her passions with joy and enthusiasm. Cheri was an avid gardener, nurturing her plants with love and care, and a enthusiastic traveler, always eager to explore new destinations. She also found great pleasure in dragon boating on False Creek, where she paddled with friends and teammates, feeling the thrill of competition and camaraderie.
Cheri’s family was her greatest delight, and she loved spending time with them, whether it was a quiet evening at home or a festive holiday gathering. Her kindness, beauty, and fun-loving nature drew people to her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cheri's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, and the memories we shared with her will continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest.
A visitation will be held on January 3rd from 7:30pm-9:30pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Home in Burnaby, where friends and family are invited to come and celebrate Cheri's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider making a donation to the ALS Society, in support of ongoing research and care for those affected by this disease.
As we celebrate Cheri's life, we take comfort in the knowledge that her love, laughter, and spirit will remain with us forever. Rest in peace, dear Cheri. Your memory will be a blessing to us all.
