It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of Christopher Leung’s passing. He passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in Vancouver, Canada, on March 23, 2025, after a brave and difficult battle with pancreatic cancer.
Chris was born in Hong Kong on August 17, 1953, the youngest of nine siblings. After attending Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, he returned to Hong Kong and began his career in the luxury hotel industry—where he also met the love of his life. Together, they built a beautiful life and eventually settled in Vancouver with dreams of starting a family. They were very successful in doing just that. Chris leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Irene Leung, and his proud son, Justin Leung, who will both miss him dearly. His passing has left an irreplaceable void, and the depth of our grief is immeasurable.
A man of endless warmth and unwavering kindness, Chris was a beloved figure in the lives of all who knew him. He was never too busy to help a friend or family member—whether that meant teaching someone how to drive, taking a niece or nephew to throw a ball around, or simply spending time together over a good meal. Chris was everyone's favorite "Uncle Chris". A calm, easy-going, happy, and funny presence who made people feel safe and seen.
Chris was the founder of Sincere Driving School and spent decades patiently and joyfully teaching new drivers—many of whom were his own nieces, nephews, and even great-nieces and nephews.
He had a deep passion for music, especially bands like The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, the Eagles and the Bee Gees. He often had their songs playing in the background of everyday life, refusing to acknowledge them as "oldies." Chris also enjoyed playing badminton with friends, often followed by dim sum and plenty of laughter. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to watching hockey with his son. A true food lover and Scotch connoisseur, Chris believed that life’s best moments happened around a table shared with people you love.
His laughter, wisdom, and easygoing spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
