Clara Marie Nielsen

Clara was born in Melville Saskatchewan on May 24, 1926, to parents George and Barbara Benastick. She married Ed Nielsen on March 23, 1962, in Vancouver. Clara is preceded in death by her husband Ed and her sisters Barbara, Elvina, Elizabeth, Benny and Kay and her brother George.

Clara lived a full life surrounded by family and many friends who loved her dearly. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her three children, Cathy (Ron) Ansdell, Janet Morgan, and Ed (Shelley) Nielsen. Clara was a loving grandmother to Christy, Jenny, Nicole, Myles, Savannah, and Sian as well as a devoted great grandmother to Sophie, Jayden, Lily, and Henry.

Clara was laid to rest at Ocean View cemetery and a small memorial will be held on August 4th at 2 pm at 15416 92nd Ave, Surrey, BC.

Clara’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all the health care providers at Fleetwood Place for their kindness in Clara’s last few months. The family would also like to thank all the people at Northwood United Church for their friendship and support.
