Davor Vulama, devoted father and husband and musical songsmith, died December 11th, 2025, at the age of 46.
Raised by hard working and loving parents, Milena and Branko Vulama in Vancouver, British Columbia, Davor fed his passion for music early in life. He was barely school aged when he received his first guitar. This would lead to a life dedicated to his passion, music. It was truly what infused his whole being.
When Davor was young, he would spend countless hours jamming with his brother Rob. Noise complaints would be issued as Davor would be riffing along to Rob’s drum beats.
This evolved into bands, too many different versions and members to properly honour here, but they know who they are and are certainly grateful for life altering jam sessions and gigs along Davor’s side.
Davor was a song writer and a music producer, with many other musical talents such as engineering, mixing and mastering. He collaborated with artists and has music placed world wide. From KPop to country to rock to, his most recent, symphonic metal, Davor’s music can be heard from Taiwan to Spain and countless countries in between.
Davor, with his gold and platinum records, remained humble and continuously focused on improving his abilities in music. He loved working with a variety of people, and many of these folks became his good friends.
Davor’s contributions to the music scene can be found in a myriad of TV shows, movies, and even advertisements with local rock legends. He will live on through his legacy of sound.
Davor is survived by his parents, Milena and Branko Vulama, his brother, Rob Vulama, his wife, Meagan Vulama, and his son, Leo Vulama. He is also loved by many others; nieces, nephew, cousins, uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and dear friends.
Davor was known for his magnetism and kind spirit. He was a lover of soccer and played since he was a child. He was known for being one of the fastest goal scorers on the teams he graced.
Most of all, Davor was a devoted father to Leo and husband to Meagan. Davor and Meagan met at Killarney Secondary School in band class in September 1996. By the summer of 1998 the two had become a steadfast one and remained so for the next 27 years until Davor’s recent death from brain cancer.
Davor and Meagan spent years enjoying each other’s company; laughing, travelling, listening to music, and being in nature together. Then came Davor’s joy, Leo.
From the moment Leo was born Davor was smitten. He rearranged his life to ensure he was present for Leo. He loved spending time with him and played Leo through all the stages; from rattles to dinosaurs to Lego, Davor was all in. He has left such a positive impact on his son. Davor’s influence will shape Leo’s future successes.
Davor had a far reaching impact through all the actions, words, and music of his life. He will live on through all of us who were lucky enough to have him in our lives.
