Derrill passed away peacefully on Friday March 22, 2024, at the New Vista Care Home surrounded by close loved ones.
He is survived by his sister Georgina Ascher, brother Randy George (Irene), nephew Christopher Ascher (Jaime) and great-niece Marissa Ascher. Derrill was predeceased by his parents, George and Ethel George and brother-in-law Chris Ascher. The family would like to extend their utmost appreciation to the New Vista Care team for the compassionate care they provided Derrill and the kindness and support given to the entire family.
A funeral service will occur Thursday April 11, 2024 at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Derrill can be made to the New Vista Society, 7232 New Vista Place, Burnaby, BC V5E 3Z3.
