Born in Vancouver on September 27, 1931, Don lived throughout BC including the Sunshine Coast, Prince George and Burnaby. The youngest of 6, Don loved the outdoors including fishing, camping, golfing, gardening, and hunting. He also enjoyed travelling to places such as Mexico and Disneyland but his favourite thing was to spend time with family and friends.
Early in life he owned a car dealership and for most of his career he worked at BC Telephone (TELUS), which he was very proud of. He loved animals, especially his dogs Red Dog and Scamp.
His children: Don, Brad, Michelle and Denise will greatly miss him. As will his 19 grand-children. Don is predeceased by his siblings Claire, Bob, Jean, Bev, Darrell, his parents Ellen and Alfred, and 2 wives, Bonnie and Andrea.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Nature Trust BC, www.naturetrust.bc.ca, in his memory.
A service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial, Burnaby on Saturday, September 7th, at 1pm, with a reception to follow.
