Mr. Doson Lau

Doson was the fourth of fourteen children.

Doson attended Diocesan Boys School and St Francis Xavier for his secondary school education.

After high school, Doson went to Trinidad in early 60s to assist his father’s business where he met his former wife Thekla and had three children, Albert, Carla and Cindy.

In 1991, Doson immigrated to Canada and worked in his own janitorial business until retirement.

On 05 June 2025, Doson passed away peacefully in his sleep in Oak Tree Senior Home in Richmond, BC Canada.

Doson is ranked fourth in the LAU family: The late Samson, his eldest brother who passed away, at Boston USA, only three days before him on 02 June 2025 at 94.

Doson is survived by his children, Albert, Carla and Cindy; Albert’s daughters and grand children; Nikita and grand daughters Breanna and Elianna; Ariela and grandson Zayne Ali; Selena and grandsons Greyson and Bradley Boodoosingh; Aliyah and Clarissa; Cindy’s sons Gerald and Giosia.

Doson will be remembered in a private gathering.
