

Doug was born in 1945, grew up and lived on Twigg Road, Mitchell Island, BC in the 1950-60s with his brother Jim and sister Noreen. On a trip to Australia and the Middle East in the early 1970's Doug met his wife Diana. They married in England in 1971 and then moved to Vancouver, Canada.
After studying at SFU, Doug taught business education at Eric Hamber High school in Vancouver for over 30 years before his retirement.
During his last ten years with us, Doug battled Parkinson's, and supported Diana in her struggle with dementia.
Doug will be remembered for his kind and generous self, and love of adventure.

Doug is predeceased by his parents, & his sister Noreen. And survived by his brother Jim(Leslie) and brother-in-law Bill(Sally), niece - Teresa (Brent) and their children, Ansen and Amelia.
Doug is also survived by his wife Diana, and daughters - Becky (Allan), Andrea (Ryan), and granddaughters Kate and Emily.
An outdoor memorial service has already occurred. Thank-you to those that attended.
