I was thinking of Edna today and still missing her.  She cooked the best roast beef dinner I've ever had - and I've had a few!  Always hoped she would teach me how she cooked the roast beef.  I just bought a Fitz and Floyd dinnerware set and only because I knew about them from Edna's love of their "pigs."  Every now and then I intone "lucky, lucky, lucky, me, I'm as lucky as can be" in her honor because I was lucky to have known her.

A MEMORY OF MY SISTER EDNA, THIS SITS ON MY WINDOW SILL AND REMINDS ME OF THE SPECIAL DAY YOU SURPRISED ME WITH IT MANY YEARS AGO.  IT IS SO FITTING THEN AND NOW; MY SPECIAL SISTER, WE'VE SEEN A LOT OF HAPPINESS AND SHARED OUR WORRIES TOO.                                                          
WE'VE BELIEVED IN DREAMS AND MADE UP PLANS ABOUT ALL THAT WE COULD DO.
THOUGH EACH DAY WE'RE NOT TOGETHER,WE'RE REALLY NOT APART.
YOU'RE NEVER FAR FROM THOUGHT AND ALWAYS IN MY HEART AND I MISS YOU EVERY DAY DEAR SISTER.                           

Grama, I miss you everyday. I know you are with me, thank you for all the pennies i find. I truly am one lucky girl to have a grama like you. I can only dream to become half the woman you are. I miss you so much. I love you so much.

I miss your smile and your warmth and most of all your advice.  It is tough when I turned to you so often and now you are not there.

We lost touch a long time ago, but I have never forgotten the warm times I shared with the Meyers, especially with your mom, Edna. I only found out recently about her passing. My heart breaks for you all. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

I just found out today, My tears are flowing for my beautiful friend and for you and her loving family. I have many many memories of when we were all together years ago and I feel so bad-- she was such a wonderful person. I wish I had known sooner and would have come for the funeral. Dear Meyer family,
My first memory of Edna was when I was about 8, over 40 years ago.  My dad took my brother Allan and I for a visit to Meyer's home.  Although we were kids, Edna treated us like we were royalty.  Allan could not believe we could eat pickles and sweets together.
My late brother Buddy loved Edna. He always spoke so highly of her.  She was so helpful with his and Kenny Jr.'s business.
My mom and dad loved the vacations and time spent with Edna and Kenny.  
It is "lucky lucky us" for knowing Edna.
She is definitely an Angel.
