It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gaetana De Bortoli. Gaetana was born March 6,1932 in Montebelluna, Treviso, Italy and died August 26, 2016 in Surrey, B.C. She is predeceased by her loving husband Pietro. Survived by her three children Diana (Tim), Annie (Mike) and Venicio (Lucy). Six grandchildren Nicholas, Peter, Amanda (Greg), Curtis, Giovanni, Isabella and great-grandchild Jaxon. Gaetana immigrated to Canada February 1954 and married the love of her life Pietro February 20, 1954. Gaetana was a hard-working and devoted wife, mother and nonna. Her greatest pleasure in life was her family and she will be deeply missed. In our hearts we know she was waiting to join Dad and her journey is now complete. Mom you will live forever in our hearts and we love you beyond measure. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30pm on Tuesday, September 6th at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish 525 Campbell Ave, Vancouver. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park (South Mausoleum) 4000 Imperial St. Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated in Gaetana’s memory to the Arthritis Society British Columbia and Yukon Division.
