Clint was born on July 10th, 1927 in Vancouver. He is predeceased by his parents Maurice Freeman and Georgia Aura South. He is survived by his loving wife Dian; daughters Andrea Freeman (Mauro Rizzo); and Elizabeth Freeman (Brad Atchison); grandchildren Jordan, Ryan, Liam, Christina, and Jessica; and sister in-law Helen Courtney (John), and many other relatives.
He lived in Vancouver until January 1966 when he moved to South Burnaby with his wife Dian. In September 2018 they moved to New Westminster.
Clint was a kind-hearted man and was always there when we needed him. He treasured time with his beloved wife, daughters and their families, as well as extended family. He often spoke with fondness of time spent with his cousins. Many of his happiest times were outdoors near the water, whether it be ocean fishing in his boat, on the beach in Maui, or spending time with his family and relatives at the summer cottage in Manitoba. He enjoyed working with his hands and built his first boat, renovated the family cottage, and could always be found making improvements to our homes and gardens. He was an avid and talented gardener, tending to both vegetable and beautiful garden beds in his yard. There was a special place in his heart for each of his dogs. Many of his other hobbies consisted of photography, camping, ballroom dancing, bridge, and he still played a mean game of cribbage until his last days.
Special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Burnaby General Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Clint Freeman to the B.C. Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
Sadly, there will be no service at this time. Final resting place in Oceanview Cemetery, Burnaby, B.C.
