

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving Father, George Ingram on Wednesday Feb. 22/2012 at the George Derby Center, at the age of 90 years old. He was predeceased by his first wife Jean, baby daughter Barbara Jean, Mother Jane, Father Adam, brothers, Ed and Kenny, sister ,Betty. Lovingly survived by wife Irene, son Keith Ingram (Carol) daughter Tina Holmes (Marc), Papa to Lisa, Jennifer, James, Scott and Susan and spouses, plus his Great Grandchildren, whom he loved more than anyone could know, Oliver, Benny, Abby, Jasmin, Lily, Jacob and Wilson, sisters Nessie and Margie, brothers Bruce, Alan and Dougie (brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws) in Winnipeg and Maple Ridge, and many loving nieces and nephews. George worked for Kelly Douglas & Co. for 37 yrs. loving every minute of it. He was very active with the Vancouver Curling Club in the 50’s and 60’s winning many bonspiels, was a hard worker with the Mason’s and then with the Shriners and belonged to the Canadian Legion #16 for at least 50 years. He was an avid gardener, loved barbequing and baking with Irene. He loved his many get together with all his family, especially watching his great grandchildren running around wild. George was also like a Father to his cousins’ two boys, Dr. James Olafson and Professor Gordon Olafson. He was always very generous with all the family. He will be sadly missed and loved by all of his family. Special thanks goes to all the staff at George Derby Center who treated him with much respect and compassion these last 2 ½ years. There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to George Derby Center, 7550 Cumberland, Burnaby, B.C. V3N 3X5.
So in remembrance of all Dads’ funny sayings, we say to him,
